Job Title: Configuration Team Engineer

Duration: 9 Weeks

Location: Travel throughout Spain required (Barcelona, Madrid and North West)

Start: Mid-April

Salary: c.€150 - €200 Per Day plus travel and accommodation costs.

Role Overview The Configuration Team Engineer will play a critical role in delivering a time-sensitive infrastructure upgrade project across Barcelona and the wider region of Spain. The primary mission of this role is to update, replace, and reconfigure access terminals across multiple locations, ensuring minimal disruption and high-quality execution. This is a hands-on technical role requiring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Replace and upgrade access terminals across multiple sites
  • Perform SIM card replacements within routers where required
  • Update and apply configuration changes to devices
  • Carry out remote updates and reconfigurations of terminals
  • Run cables appropriately which may involve use of a drill.
  • Follow detailed technical guides and deployment procedures
  • Identify issues and escalate appropriately when outside of scope or expertise
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of work completed
  • Support continuous improvement of technical documentation and processes
  • Ensure all work is completed within strict project timelines
  • Travel to sites across Barcelona and other regions of Spain, often at short notice
Technical Scope The role will involve working across three different types of terminal upgrades, which may include:
  • Full hardware replacement of access terminals
  • Router maintenance, including SIM card replacement
  • Configuration updates (local and remote)
Skills & Experience Required
  • Technical background in IT, networking, or hardware deployment
  • Hands-on experience with device installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures accurately
  • Understanding of networking basics (routers, SIM connectivity, remote access tools)
  • Experience working in field-based or deployment roles is highly desirable
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to recognise limits of own knowledge and escalate issues appropriately
  • Fluent Spanish
