Description:
- Oversee Thrust Integration Operations on second shift to ensure Terran-R hardware is produced safely, on time, and to quality standards.
- Lead and develop a team of integration technicians, supporting their skills growth and career progression.
- Partner with manufacturing engineering, planning, supply chain, and quality teams to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Drive production schedules and daily production visibility to ensure on-time completion of flight hardware.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks to keep manufacturing on track.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Influence vehicle design by interfacing with the vehicle engineering team on manufacturing needs.
- Translate engineering requirements into optimized production processes and lines.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- 2+ years of leadership, lead, or supervisory experience overseeing production technicians or operators.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as assembly, integration, and testing.
- Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to drive accountability in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work second shift, from 3:30 PM PST to 2:00 AM PST.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Previous leadership experience in aerospace or space hardware production preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, MES, or digital factory tools preferred.
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training/certifications preferred.
