Role Responsibilities
- Operate a two-car hauler to deliver vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load, transport, and unload vehicles at designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Facilitate home delivery transactions, including paperwork and customer handoff.
- Provide outstanding customer service, interacting with customers and team members professionally.
- Perform condition checks and verify vehicles meet CarMax cosmetic standards before delivery.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to maintain safety and operational excellence.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with company requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
- Class B CDL preferred; additional state-specific endorsements may apply (e.g., Illinois Class C, Indiana “For Hire,” Louisiana Chauffeur’s License, Mississippi Class D Commercial).
- Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points in the last three years.
- 1+ year of customer service experience and 1+ year of delivery driving experience or CarMax experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate a manual transmission, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must possess or obtain a DOT Medical Card within 28 days of hire.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with adherence to CarMax policies and safety standards.
