In this role, the Staff Pathologist reviews and annotates histologic slides from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tumor tissue to confirm tumor characteristics and guide downstream molecular analyses used to generate clinically actionable Recurrence Scores that inform treatment decisions. The Staff Pathologist operates within a CAP-accredited, CLIA-certified high-complexity clinical laboratory and collaborates closely with pathology, laboratory operations, bioinformatics, and clinical teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and scientific rigor.Beyond case review, the Staff Pathologist contributes to the continuous improvement of pathology workflows and laboratory processes while representing Exact Sciences within the broader pathology community through engagement in national meetings, professional societies, and committee service.
