At New Story Schools, we support young people from ages 5 to 21 who have autism along with emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. As a Principal, you will oversee the daily activities of your school and strive for academic, behavioral, and therapeutic excellence. You will lead your team in fostering a secure, inclusive, and student-focused setting, encouraging each learner's growth and achievement.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related area
  • Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in administration or special education
  • At least three years’ experience working with students with disabilities
  • One year of leadership or administrative experience in a school setting (preferred)
  • Strong skills in leadership, communication, and decision-making
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support staff to deliver high-quality instruction and student care
  • Ensure curriculum, compliance, and accreditation align with standards set by education authorities
  • Collaborate with educational teams on student assessments, placements, and treatment planning
  • Manage budgeting, scheduling, and operations for effective daily functioning
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, educational districts, and community partners
