<strong> OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION: </strong><br><br>Responsible for the Spa and Fitness Center of this 120 ultra-luxury property in Menlo Park. Demonstrate a proven record of effectively managing all areas of the Spa operations.<br><br>As Director of Spa & Wellness you will assist with the managing of our Asaya Spa team to develop their knowledge, skills, and service of a destination spa in our hotel. You will build and nurture relationships with your team to ensure they provide an engaging, intuitive and refined service to our guests and lifestyle members. It is primarily responsible for supervising the proper operation of the Spa in order to achieve maximum satisfaction to the guests. <br><br> This person must demonstrate the highest level of hospitality and professionalism in order to motivate their team to achieve the highest standards possible. They must act as an ambassador for the hotel, displaying a great sense of style and integrity and conveying to the guest a sense of knowledge and assurance. They will have immaculate personal presentation and be passionate about developing their team. In addition they will be able to maintain excellent working relationships in all hotel areas and with external customers and suppliers. <br><br> Under the general supervision of the Hotel Manager, the Director of Spa & Wellness is responsible for all operation concerning the department and verifying that employees of the spa are prepared to exceed the guest expectations providing personalized service. The Director of Spa & Wellness is responsible for maintaining the highest levels of satisfaction within the hotel, check that your work area and tools are in perfect condition for labor, have a complete understanding of the role of therapy equipment and spa treatments. <br><br> This role will require an exceptional level of attention to detail, excellent written and spoken English and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Previous Spa Director level experience required.<br>• General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
