You will be empowered to influence how our products are forged for real world value. </p><p>You’ll be in a very hands-on development role collaborating with your team to enhance and extend the leading Hirevue platform. Your focus will be designing solutions, writing quality code with unit tests, leading other engineers by example and solving technical challenges that will continue improving the experience of our users. You will become a key contributor to the codebase willing to work in any area of the code when needed. </p><p>Our ability to deliver quality software to our customers in a timely, predictable manner will be directly attributable to your capacity to identify and address challenges faced by the initiatives you will be leading.  </p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Help drive development of the Hirevue Interviewing Product Line, ensuring that we’re utilizing the best development techniques, patterns, frameworks and libraries for the team’s initiatives owned by you and/or peers</p><ul><li><p>Analyze Product Requirements and write Technical Designs</p></li><li><p>Write simple, clear, secure, resilient  code</p></li><li><p>Write unit tests</p></li><li><p>Review the code of others</p></li><li><p>Mentor your peers</p></li><li><p>Collaborate in and/or own the Research and Planning  of new Initiatives</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Own and ensure the resolution of complex problems found in our systems</p></li><li><p>Find opportunities to broadcast knowledge and lessons learned amongst your peers</p></li><li><p>Blend a risk-based approach to technical choices from design to operational practice</p></li><li><p>Ensure patterns are in place to provide thorough automated testing at each level of the test pyramid</p></li><li><p>Communicate patterns and solutions through both thorough written documentation and technical presentations</p></li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-qualifications"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Qualifications</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="qualifications"><p><strong>We’re looking for an experienced, full-stack engineer. More specifically, we’re looking for:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Someone with experience designing, building, deploying, supporting SaaS products in a cloud-based world. You should have strong knowledge of:</p><ul><li><p>Cloud Services and Best Practices (AWS)</p></li><li><p>Multiple platforms and languages (C#/.NET, Python, React, etc)</p></li><li><p>RESTFul APIs and MVC Web Patterns</p></li><li><p>Docker and virtualization technologies </p></li><li><p>Operational Monitoring, Instrumentation, and Diagnostics </p></li></ul></li><li><p>Someone who understands fundamental computer science concepts. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have a CS degree. You should be able to describe technical design options, engineering trade-offs, making technical recommendations and decisions that balance performance and elegance with delivery and functional outcomes</p></li><li><p>Someone with a firm grasp of SQL and databases in general (including non-relational databases). You should know about CRUD patterns, relational design, what indexes are and why they matter, and the difference between a left join and an inner join.</p></li><li><p>Someone to work hand in hand with Product and UX, to design solutions that deliver business value and delight customers. </p></li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Due to responsibilities of this role that require elevated access to production data, the successful candidate for this position must be a US-based US citizen.</li><li><p>B.S. in Computer Science (or related field), equivalent trade school degree, or equivalent work experience.</p></li><li><p>5+ years in a software engineering role</p></li><li><p>Strong proficiency with most or all languages and technologies listed below</p></li><li><p>Experience working effectively in a global virtual environment </p></li><li><p>Ability to design and code scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud applications.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker)</p></li><li><p>Understanding of security best practices</p></li></ul><p><strong>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations</strong></p><ul><li><p>AWS and/or Software Development certifications preferred</p></li><li><p>Experience building software on a complex platform preferred</p></li><li><p>Experience Mentoring Others preferred</p></li></ul></div></section><section class="job-section" id="st-additionalInformation"><div><p class="googlejobs-paragraph--empty"></p><h2 class="title">Additional Information</h2></div><div class="wysiwyg" itemprop="incentives"><p><strong>Why Hirevue?</strong></p><p>All team members at Hirevue are expected to embody our core values, which are the H.E.A.R.T. of Hirevue.
