Food & Beverage Manager – Rooftop Cantina

Reports To: Hotel General Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic, dynamic, and hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead the operations of our exciting new Rooftop Cantina. This position reports directly to the Hotel General Manager and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both bar operations and kitchen management, be a collaborative team player, and possess open availability to support business needs. The Rooftop Cantina will offer lunch and dinner service, as well as in-room dining, creating a unique and memorable dining experience for hotel guests and local patrons.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management

  • Lead and manage daily food and beverage operations for the Rooftop Cantina, bar, in-room dining, catering, and special events.
  • Ensure exceptional service standards and memorable guest experiences.
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, beverage quality, and service execution.
  • Maintain smooth daily operations and efficient service flow during all shifts.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop food and beverage team members.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Develop staff training programs focused on service excellence, food safety, and operational procedures.

Financial & Inventory Management

  • Manage budgets, labor costs, food costs, and beverage costs to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee inventory control procedures and ordering practices to minimize waste and maintain proper stock levels.
  • Analyze sales trends and implement strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and financial reporting procedures.

Food Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team members.
  • Monitor food handling and storage practices to meet company and regulatory standards.

Guest Experience

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with guests to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality and service throughout all dining experiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of Food & Beverage Management experience in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong experience managing both bar operations and kitchen operations.
  • Hotel food and beverage management experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with TOAST POS systems required.
  • Background in casual dining, upscale dining, rooftop venues, or hotel restaurants preferred.
  • Experience with catering, banquet operations, and special events is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, beverage service, inventory management, and cost controls.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop teams.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices; food safety certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Open availability required.

Pay: $82,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
