Agile Project Manager - Remote

Our client is looking for a seasoned and highly organized Agile Project Manager to lead and support cross-functional teams in a fully remote capacity. This role is integral to driving successful project delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and fostering an agile mindset throughout the organization. You will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, resources, and budget while facilitating agile ceremonies and removing impediments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex software development projects using Scrum or Kanban methodologies. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this remote-first environment. Key responsibilities include:
Planning, executing, and closing projects using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). Facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Managing project scope, defining deliverables, and ensuring timely completion. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and dependencies. Tracking and reporting project progress, key metrics, and performance to stakeholders. Coordinating with product owners, development teams, and business stakeholders to ensure project alignment. Removing impediments and obstacles that hinder team progress. Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Promoting agile best practices and continuous improvement within the teams. Managing project budgets and resource allocation effectively. Onboarding and mentoring new team members on agile processes. Ensuring effective communication across all project participants in a remote setting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused on agile methodologies. Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent certification is required. Proven experience managing software development projects from inception to completion. Strong understanding of agile principles, frameworks, and best practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or Trello. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities. Experience with distributed or remote teams is a significant advantage. Solid understanding of SDLC and various software development lifecycles.
